I started my career studying to be a documentary photographer hoping to emulate Martin Parr and the like, that was until I realised that I wasn't actually that good at it!  Luckily I was able to divert my course to television production and I (mostly) haven't looked back.

I have now been a fully fledged editor for 18 years and in that time have worked on a wide range of work which began with television commercials and progressed to award winning documentary films, and have now produced films for all major broadcasters,including  BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Sky, MTV and Al Jazeera.

In the last ten years I have cut many hours of factual and hard hitting documentaries , on some of the toughest subject matters, from murder to madness, and through the nature of this work I have become  very aware of editorial policy and broadcast compliance issues, and also know how to target a film to a particular time slot or audience. But its not all dark and heavy stuff, I have also worked on a wealth of formatted entertainment and current affairs programmes, that present their own very different challenges.  

But whatever the genre I always want my work to tell a great story, to be originally structured, and to look spectacular no matter what the budget.
